 Today we have been celebrating two birthdays.

 Mats' 1st birthday and the kendermans 40th+

Attic

On our attic are at least 20 closed boxes.

They haven't been opened since our move to Belgium 9 years ago.

Once the kenderman and I were keen collectors of enamel and bakelite.
It is high time to rediscover :)

Aquarius

 I love water! The sea, a lake, a river, a brooke... even an artificial canal.

Such a great view of Bocholt-Herentals canal is a perfect way to start my day.

Although I'm an aquarius I prefer standing on solid ground :)

Cat Wheel

We have been thinking of buying a cat wheel. Our indoor cats could use the exercise.

A save wheel and noise free one is really expensive. So on Saturday we've rented one for a week.

Both Nim and Mats have been curious and walking in it.

I'm just wondering if their curiosity will last for at least a week :)

Lunulata

This is our first experiment with tree ferns indoor.

Last month was the most difficult time of the year. We're coping with scarcer
light and a much dryer atmosphere, because of the central heating, in winter.

Now we have a humidifier running a couple of hours a day.

The Cyathea lunulata is doing much better than the Dicksonia antartica.

Seventies

I wasn't so keen on seventies colours and design before. I was born in that era myself ;)

But a few weeks ago I bought this seventies flower pot at the charity shop.

Still I need to find a matching plant. It's a difficult green. I think I'll go for black.
