Fab Frog

The time has come to spot some European tree frogs again...

Earlier posts here and here.

No kèk-kèk-kèk-kèk-kèk sounds today but nevertheless we did find them.....

Frogs on Friday

We're both totally into tree frogs since we first laid eyes on them.

Yesterday, the last sunny and warm autumn day, we went searching again...

 we found a youngster.

Perhaps this little one was a bit tired... he yawned three times in a row.

Soon the tree frogs will start their hibernation.

 We spotted some thicker grown ups.... soaking up the sun

Toad

The kenderman thought he came across something special in our garden.

It seems to be a Common toad :)

Salamander

Last friday I was expressing my concern to someone about having not seen

a salamander in our backyard for over a year.

Yesterday we relocated a pile of wood and we found one :)

You should handle a salamander with care!
Salamanders like to be cold and not in sunlight.
When I held him in the sunlight to take this picture I noticed his uneasiness :(

Salamanders like to feel safe and hide. They love shady, damp and moisture places.
