Urn

I bought this mini-urn made by Hilde Evenepoel.
It's on our mantlepiece next to a cure-stone and shaman stone :)

Not much bigger than a chestnut and it's colour can be silver or black.

Dark

Normally my interior decoration becomes much lighter in spring and summer.
But somehow I'm in need of some dark elements so instead of lighter it became darker.

The drawing was a present from the artist 25 years ago. It is made by Snor.

Black Cat

Suddenly there was a black stranger in our field.

He heard Sil scratching the back door........

He left our field and he peed to our car plate straight away!
Definitely not as polite as our welcome visitor.

Gardening

Helleborus orientalis
21-3

23-3
After two days of sunshine you can see the flowerbud is opening.

24-3

Thalictrum Elin
It is just starting to grow but it will go up to 200 cm.

Angelica archangelica

It looks like the Angelica is going to be a great succes this year.
We had it for years but it was strugling and it never flowered before.
Last autumn we gave it a new spot in a really wet part of our garden.
We added lots of compost and now it looks like its flipping!

Angelica is native to Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Greenland, the Faerous and Finland.
In Norway it was such a valued plant that according to Gulathing's law (11th century) a tenant farmer was allowed to take this plant with him.

It's a beautiful plant (loved by insects) but look out, especially with childeren.
The plant has a photosensitive juice wich will cause burning to the skin and mouth if exposed to light.

My walls

This photo was made by me and it was printed on linen.
This photo is made by Steven Greaves.
It's called "Fallen Angel".
A legionnaire from the French Foreign Legion's 2REP sits in an armored personnel
carrier en route to an operation near Badpash Kusa Kala, Afghanistan.

This is a print from the Mauermuseum in Berlin.
The original photo was made by Peter Leibing.
The soldier is Hans Conrad Schumann.
He was one of the first defectors, just before the Berlin wall was build.

Perhaps you think it's strange to have photo's of soldiers on your wall.
Besides the fact I love those photos it helps me to remember........
Freedom doesn't come naturally!

A limited-edition letterpress print by Emprint.
It's a Robert Frost poem and I bought this in her Etsy shop.
Next to it you can see a photo of my grandfather.
