Nothing beats a visit to the North Sea beach ★

Walking along the shore, looking at the waves, fresh air and lots of beach treasures.

Preferably in autumn, winter or springtime.

I try to avoid the much more crowded summer holiday season and higher temperatures.

A quiet spot, not too many people around, away from tourist attractions is ideal.

Accompanied by some close friends, just the kenderman or all alone at the beach.

Whatever the weather, instant hapiness assured!

Wissant

It has been 3 weeks already, we visited Wissant 

Stormy and rainy on Saturday...

Sunny on Sunday ☀︎

In the morning we visited the beach in Wissant

 Followed by a very nice afternoon at Cap Blanc-Nez (Blankenesse, Witte Nes)

Near the cliffs it can be dangerous.

There's always the lurking danger of a collapsing cliff wall.

And breeding on a steep chalky water leaking wall isn't without risks either...

Old Habits Die Hard

Perhaps you remember how much I love this beautiful coastal area,
the border between Belgium and the Netherlands, 't Zwin

I'm a regular visitor for almost 40 years now.

On Wednesday: sun, wind and rain... we had it all!

The land in the sun is just across the border and therefore Dutch territory...

Done beachcombing in Belgium we crossed the border to meet some good friends...

We'll be back again... next week! (big smile)

Island

On Monday we were on our way to the island Vlieland...

Vlieland is an island in the Wadden Sea

After exactly two years, we finally set foot on Vlieland again!

Day at the Beach

Every holiday we try to visit the North Sea...

I found the second ray eggcase of the day

We started our day at the Belgian beach as usual.
Only this time we ended having dinner in a Dutch beach pavilion.
