According to my dad my aunt painted 'Vincent's Shoes' for me ☺︎

Already the shoes seemed a bit too modern to me

when my aunt mentioned her inspiration came from minister Hugo de Jonge's shoes.

At that time he was ordained as minster of health, on the king's staircase platform.

She said his shoes were made by multiplied disabled people.

Due to the press he wore handmade Portugese shoes.

But What's in a Name?

Besides isn't that what art is all about?

Multiple interpretation possible, it's all in the eye of the beholder.

I just enjoy the 'skon skoen' ☺︎

our Nim

I was curious what the name Nim means. This is what I found...

  A strong minded, golden hearted, one in a million individual.

Besides our Nim is a female, she is golden hearted and a real treasure!
Once my 'sister' told me in Kurdish "Nim Nim" is the beginning of the rain.
When you think you can feel it but you can't see it. That's poetry to me!!!
So I'm imagining a hot summer day, you're wishing for a rain shower and then
suddenly you think you can feel the first tiny raindrops. That's our Nim ★
