Reorganise

On wednesday I've been reorganising my cupboard.
Closely being observed by some curious cats...

Mats was fascinated by these drawers :)

Flying Civil Servants

We visited an exhibition of Stéphane Halleux in Bruges.
His sculptures are incredible.

PHE

Me and my mum went to Piet Hein Eek today. You can see more photo's here.

PHE is one of my favourite Dutch designers for a long time because of his use of scrapwood.

I guess I discovered him in the early nineties.
Not being able to afford his scrapwooden cupboard then.

 In 2003 when the kenderman and I got married we bought one chair and some time later a second one.

Five years later we bought our first house and after a while a PHE scrapwooden cupboard.

 I'm so glad we're still enjoying our house, our cupboard
and (smile) most importantly each other's company :)
Last year we sold the PHE chairs to be able to buy a vintage Eames chair.
I'm a so called design victim ;)

Archive I

Strolling through some old pics I found this picture in my archive.

I made this picture in February 2013 of our Salvia's hibernating in our conservatory.

This winter we haven't been having snow, serious cold and frost yet.

The treeferns, pelargoniums and Salvia's are really benefitting still being outside.

Christmas Decoration

With Nim around..... a beautiful christmas tree with glass ornaments is just no option.

These houses from basichus are a beautiful alternative.

Now we'll have to find us a tree :)

Sale

This week it's sale at Piet Hein Eek!

It wasn't easy but I've managed to leave PHE empty handed :)

Walk

Stool

Sil is getting older and he has been having diffilculties jumping on our table.
Sometimes he fell when his effort failed.
 I came up with the idea of a stool. And it worked :-)

Now he's using this stool frequently to get on and off the table. For now.
More and more he fails jumping on the couch or our bed.........

Hus

Marion Beijnink lives on a Swedish island called Öland. She has a really nice blog and BASICHUS collection.

PHE

One of my favourite designers is Piet Hein Eek.

Some people might think it's just a lot of over-priced rubbish but I love his furniture of reclaimed wood.

Bricks

One of the reasons we bought this house is the brickwork.

The house itself is only 12 years old but because of these bricks it looks much older.

The reclaimed bricks and also the colour and the width of the grouting, works for us.

You can still see some pieces of straw left in the loam.......

Some layers of lime plaster.......

Some stones have traces of a fire.......

Sometimes you can even see some fingersprints left in the brick  :-)
