Today it's World Refugee Day.

A day to honor the men, women and childeren who must

flee their homes under threat of persecution and violence.

Everybody should have a save haven!

We have two enormous weeping willows at the end of our back garden.
The trees are incredible valuable for wildlife... and for us.

Return the Sender

Yes, the RT20 radio has been delivered yesterday and we handed over de SK55.

A loose contact in the turntable was causing volume problems

although the radio part was working perfectly.

We're really lucky we bought the SK55 and RT20 from this man.

He knows an electrician (elektrieker) who can fix these oldies.

The seller isn't charging us extra money for the repairs and delivery.

A welcome rarity nowadays ☆

Saturday Shopping

Today we went to Schoten to buy a graphite Braun radio RT20 and turntable SK55.

Both being Dieter Rams designs from 1961 and 1963.

The RT20 radio wasn't working so it will be delivered later.

Too bad the turntable wasn't working good either when we came home.

Hopefully it just needs some warming up and some personal attention...

Hunting Pan

Scythe Sunday

During the second and last day of the yard sale, 

 I was trying to sell as much as I could in front of the house.

The kenderman managed to cut the grass in the backyard with a scythe.

"Pan" is our new regular visitor in the garden.

The freshly cut grass offers Pan new hunting opportunities.

He caught three small mouses in less than 15 minutes.

Yard Sale

We really enjoyed the first day of the yard sale!

Too bad we only sold 5 chairs of the 21 chairs we have available ☺︎
