Once in a while we visit the largest weekly brocante market of Europe in Tongeren.

Brocante

It has been a while since we visited the biggest European brocante market...

Lots of people and lots of things to look at...

being on on top of the defensive structures...

some live music...

and an European eagle-owl

Lots of antiques shops are open on Sundays....

And I just keep coming back to these, too expensive, museum cacti specimen jars...

Yesterday morning we visited the brocante market in Tongeren...

Hey! some Mainzelmännchen

We really liked the vintage battered orange Renault nervasport car from 1938

but despite the new wheels it was still way too expensive.

 One of the antique shops along the route we visit regularly...

Tongeren

In Openhouse magazine the kenderman spotted some porcelain ducks and swallows.

Today we bought these at the brocante market in Tongeren :)

Women's Day

Today it's Women's Day.
So it was up to me... and we have been visiting the market in Tongeren again.
 The brocante market is nearby the old town-wall dating from the Middle Ages.

 I better watch out for the kenderman! :)

Today's catch: two hemp tea towels, a dish and a porcelain scoop.

We both felt an urge to visit the flea market in Tongeren again :)

It's nice to wander through the historical streets....

The kenderman is looking for a billhook.

And then he finally finds a good one :)
