Winter Weekend

I know, I know... technically winter hasn't started yet.

But last week I spotted some icing sugar on the roof.

So winter is on it's way...

Update

Mobli is doing fine!

The examination of his blood learned us he also has a kidney problem.

But since the infected molar was removed and being on a (k/d prescription) diet

 for four weeks now he has gained some weight and he's full of life again.

That tooth must have troubled him for a long time.

He spends most of his days hunting the grounds around us.

He still likes my attention :)

Five years ago we visited Iceland and we loved it!

The kenderman initiated this journey because he knew I dreamt about Iceland for 20 years.

My Iceland fascination started after watching a clip from the The Sugarcubes.

During our short stay on Iceland there was an increasing seismic activity.

Just a few days after we flew back to the Netherlands Reykjavík airport was closed down.

And I could only think: "if only we had been so lucky to get trapped at Iceland!"

The vulcano eruptions of 2010 must have had a huge impact on the local people
although they're used to such a harsh environment.

We both fell in love with the magical Iceland and we will definitely go back some day.

Winter Wonder

Overnight everything turned white.

Iceland

In 2010 we went to Iceland.

The kenderman initiated this journey because he knew I dreamt about Iceland for 20 years.

Water Tower

I think this is a water tower but I'm not 100% sure.

We pass it twice a day and I just have to look at it.

Sometimes the tower disappears in the fog and sometimes it's shiny silver.

Yesterday morning we started with some snow and in the afternoon we had lots of sunshine.

It reminded me of the changeable weather in Iceland.
A common Icelandic saying - and it's not really a joke - holds that if you're not happy with the weather, just wait five minutes and it will change.......

This bird is really shy.

It's a green woodpecker.
