He was the only contender so no trouble for me having to chose the nicest story :-)

First I'll explain to you what this object is.

It's like one of the Peelmormels suggested, a measuring cup.

This one is especially designed for coffee (koffiemaatje).

 You have two options. One side is for a big amount of coffee
and the other side is for a much smaller amount.
