Last Sunday we went to a (for us a bit dissapointing) plant market.

On our way down there we talked about being (plant) spoiled :)

Just like we expected there were no interesting plants to us but we inspected the mill instead.

Yesterday we went to the flea market where I found this woven bamboo basket.

It costed me just 1 € and I love it. It reminds me of the beautiful Shakers' style.

Butterflies

I've seen several butterflies but it's so hard to photograph these fluttering animals.

Green Dream

I can't get enough of the plant Mathiasella bupleuroides Green Dream.

It survived two cold winters but last winter was pretty mild

so this plant is big now and full of flowers :)

About 6 months ago I got this idea of some slender floor to ceiling birch trunks in our living.

One of my facebook friends answered my call. He would be able to help us.

Now the trunks are drying outside waiting to be fitted in our house.

I think Nim will love these trunks :)

Too bad only one of them has the floor to ceiling length we will be needing for the living.

But the other two can still be (partly winded with rope) functional.

Such a great day!

We have been having brunch outside, we've been working in the garden
for a couple of hours and soon we'll be eating asparagus for dinner.

Tonight our "dessert" will be: Hobbit 2 The Desolation of Smaug

I've been searching our house for some sixties designs.......
About a week ago we met a nice man who has an incredible house!

His frontdoor gave us access to his timecapsule. Suddenly we landed in the sixties.

Although the kenderman and me are way too young to remember :))
(we're both from the seventies), we do recognise the design from the sixties.

This man had this art piece in his room we fell in love with.

Last thursday I texted him to warn me whenever he decided to say goodbye to this piece.

His answer was....... what do you have to swap?
This above Ankara dish from Carstens was one of the things I found.

Happy Birthday Mum

Today it's my mothers birthday and our 11th wedding anniversary.

After living together for almost 10 years, the kenderman and I decided to get married.

We got married in the presence of our closest friends and family

at a grey deserted beach on a small island.

I'm still happy about that :)

Forget-me-not

Almost two years ago my best friend's sister died.

Still only in her mid-forties, she should have had a long life ahead of her. 

After the ceremony everyone received a package with Forget-me-not seeds.

These are starting to bloom now.....
