Chuffed!

In case you've been visiting my blog for a longer time,
you might know I'm a huge fan of artist Gerrit Neven.
You can find earlier posts: here and here.

Recently we were lucky enough to meet and talk to him again!

When we bought our fist watercolour from this artist,
I did mention I'm really fond of pollarded willows (smile).

And then unexpectedly we received an email... Gerrit Neven was
hesitating to say goodbye to his most favourite watercolour ever but...
he was probably also realising we would cherish the work in our living room
after having been the pièce de résistance in his living for quite some time.
Thankfully he thought of us, his Belgian admirers (big smile).

Eames Expo

 Today we visited the Eames exhibition in C-mine Genk.

Ray and Charles Eames are two of my favourite designers.

A real bummer... your not allowed to take pictures ☹

That explains the poor quality of the next photos.

I could surely use a better (spy)phone!

Finally I got the courage to grab my camera for the last two photos...

Our New Chairs

Often you can find Nim lying on one of the chairs at the dining table.

You can see her lying on the left black chair.

We bought some "new" vintage seafoam DSX Eames chairs.

I just love the seafoam colour!

Eames

We finally bought a vintage seafoam Eames armshell! :)

It's obvious the kenderman has another gig coming up.

Dream

For more than 10 years now I sometimes search the internet for an Eames seafoam armshell.

I have always loved the designs of Ray and Charles Eames. Especially their vintage shells with fibers.

This so called seafoam colour is my fav colour. And it would fit in so nicely with our interior.

Today we have been sitting in this chair for the first time. For just a brief moment I almost hoped for a disillusion so I could put this chair to the back of my mind but this chair is really comfortable for the both of us. There is just one big obstacle left........................
so I am looking for a sponsor now :)
